The Base of the World
Congratulations to the stealth Mohammed Sultan Idlibi for carrying the Climb to Fight Breast Cancer’s message to the bottom of the world this month!
On January 4 at 5:04 PM local time, Mohammed’s team with Alpine Ascents International summited Mt. Vinson (16,067 ft), the tallest peak in Antarctica and one of the “Seven Summits.”
Mohammed journeyed to the South Pole in late December and returned to his home in Charlotte, North Carolina, last week. He spent about 21 days on the continent that remains one of Earth’s final frontiers. He summited Denali (20,320 ft), the tallest peak in North America, with our Climb to Fight Breast Cancer team in 2011. Climb on!
