Mountain Photo of the Day

August 18, 2011

Life thrives in the shadows of Mt. Adams. Photo by Colin Stapp.

It is amazing where and when creative inspiration can hit.  I found this photo opportunity near Interstate-84 after climbing Mt. Adams in the beautiful Eastern Cascade Range.

My Climb to Fight Breast Cancer team had summited and we were still mentally on Cloud 9.

I love sunflowers and it doesn’t get much better than blue sky, an old fence and some grass for the background.

We had stood on top of the 2nd tallest volcano in Washington state just hours before. We were tired, hungry and nursing sore feet, but I still had to pull over for this beauty.

Sometimes when you see a photo, you just have to stop.  Enjoy!
