Almost Like Heaven
There are moments on mountains that quite literally, take my breath away. Photographer and mountaineer Colin Stapp captured this one in the early dawn hours on California’s Mt. Shasta.
Mountains are metaphors for every kind of challenge in life. We constantly hear orators – whether they be politicians, CEOs or pastors – reference scaling a peak to describe immense obstacles and big dreams. Once you’ve touched a mountain top, all those metaphors take on a vibrant life of their own.
When I see a television commercial, movie, or read a newspaper where a mountain is referenced, it takes me back to a visual in my mind, like this one.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away – Author unknown.
Climb a Mountain. Save a Life.

Well stated Colin. Thanks
